Star Trek Tournament

Captain K. I. Dursandy won again

Otherwise
In the Bajorian area of space Federation forces lost the following battles
Captain Gerard Scorpion Du'Bergerac Star Trek Lost all three games
1. Captain Scorpion Lost  by 4 points almost one the Kirk sailed of the edge of the board
2. Captain Scorpion made an error in movement  saw Kirk moved off the table by my opponent and destroyed with firing a shot
EXCEPT Destroyed DEEPSPACE 9 in one Salvo / almost outmaneuvered my slow methodical opponent
3. Captain Scorpion Lost Enterprise -D
Kirk destroyed again -- BUT Destroyed DEEPSPACE 9 in TWO Salvos
The Last Survivor in every battle but one was Suwanee's Pride Federation Koi Fighters
Still won two prizes (one for participation) Federation Fighters (one for being the best target in the tournament resembling Radioactive Chernonbylian Swiss Cheese) Bajorian Battle cruiser and Three large flat models for Deep Space NINE (so with a few more ships I can field my own Bajorian Navy)

Now I have a Christmas ornament shaped like a Klingon Bird of prey
And a Star Wars battle star that can serve as a Borg Cube Ship
Pictures of this tournament and of a drop zone game to follow.

Star Trek Attack Wing Game

Ok something rarely seen on this blog a little science fiction gaming probably
should post this on my other page

Henry got me to play this as did a few of his friends at Giga Bytes Cafe' in Marietta
Almost wiped out Captain Kirk - But apparently the game has a Kirk cheat death card and
the game master had "two" of them which lets Kirk come back at full strength - which is a bit
much IMHO - should be revived at a reduced rate (like Spock dying in Wrath of Khan) and
Kirk being younger and inexperienced in Star Trek 2 Into the Heart of Darkness.

Which reminds me a New Khan card from the new movie would be interesting.

Anyway I used 3 Romulan class vessels and cardassian fighters
(like the fighters and the turn radius of the 2 Romulan warships was interesting)

Henry's got a secret weapon that kick's but n the game

Pirates next weekend at Gigabytes and might try the tournament after that.

CY6 - WW1 airplanes

Balloon Busting using CY6 - Allied victory One Busted Balloon and one German pilot KIA

Found this interesting article information off wiki
Max Näther (youngest German Ace) took basic flight training in Bucharest. He then progressed to training with FEA 7 at Brunswick. His final training was at Jastaschule I at Valenciennes, France.[4]
He graduated from Jastashule I[5] and was assigned to Jagdstaffel 62 in March 1918.[2] He flew an all black Albatros D.Va with a personal insignia of a German national flag streaming from a slanted staff imposed on a white square painted on the side of the plane's fuselage just aft of the cockpit. Killed in Poland in 1919 During the German - Polish Border War - Flew a Fokker D VII after August 1918.

This sample was painted using used Humbrol colours Green Hu-149, Mauve Hu-153 (red)+Hu-25(Blue)+Hu-65(Light Blue) 1:1:1, Light Blue Hu-65 and Black Hu-33. It was slightly drybrushed all the model with very dark gray.painter does not like heavy weathered models. Apparently added pipes from the wing cooler to engine made of brass wire and I left it unpainted. Main problem was to fit the wheel struts. Apparently had to glue them several times to get the proper alignment. Rigging made using my preferred method, black panty hose thread. Nather's personal marking - German flag is litle oversized but was left it as it was. Also oversized was crosses for upper wing on Propagteam set. apparently used the kit's ones. this is a 1/48th scale plane will look interesting in 1/72nd scale
